In this episode, Jeff sees if this destination winery’s juice can hold up to the power of this barbecue…
(Note: At the time of filming, Jeff did not realize that Castello di Amorosa sold their wines online. Their online wine shop is, in fact, very extensive, and quite easy to use. So… When you hear Jeff say something to the contrary in the following video, please shout back at him that he is wrong.)
Wine Tasted:
Castello di Amorosa 2011 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

When my parents moved to a different state while I was in college, they got it for me.
I didn’t really think I needed a cell phone. Honestly, I used to make fun of people who had cell phones.
But…
When your folks are footing the bill, it’s tough to say no.
This Nokia became my primary form of communication from 2001 to 2002.
Then, my parents started to get upset at the roaming charges (whatever those are) that were starting to rack up on their phone bill, so they discontinued service to my phone.
Like I said, I didn’t really think I needed a cell phone, so I never bothered to set up a service plan of my own.
I did, however, hold onto the phone. After all, I’ve got a whole lot of people’s phone numbers in it.
Truth be told, I still look up numbers on my Nokia ever once in a while.
Anyways…
In October of 2002, I started dating a beautiful young lady named Kara.
She would eventually become my bride…
Here’s proof!
Well…
After dealing with my not having a cell phone for 10 years, she bought me one for my birthday in 2012…
Here it is!
Now…
Even though I never really thought I needed one, I figured I could use the phone for photo and video content on the wine blog that I had just started the year before.
At this point, can say that my phone is the most important piece of blogging equipment I own.
Well…
This morning, I got the news…
Stay Rad Wine Blog is now a finalist in the 2013 Wine Blog Awards for Best Original Photography or Video…
Wow!
Needless to say, at this point, I’m stoked to the hella.
I’m especially stoked to be in the running along side some amazing blogs in the same category.
For those of you who haven’t been keeping track, the last post on this blog was episode number 98 of Stay Rad Wine Blog TV.
Ninety-Freaking-Eight!
I’ve been racking my brain for something special to do for episode number 100 (which should be up in about a week) for a while now. I’ve had some ideas, but nothing really stuck until just recently…
A place that some folks know for making killer Cabernet, like this one…
As well as a place that some folks know for having this killer water tower on its labels…
Well…
At the end of our visit, Erin (our amazing host), left us with a bag full of Silver Oak schwag to give away to readers like YOU…
Here’s the bag!
What’s in that Silver Oak bag?
Well…
Let’s take a look…
Two Silver Oak 2013 Calendars!
These Silver Oak calendars are packed full of some amazing pictures that were taken when they took a miniature model of their water tower on tour.
Do you want to see the tower next to the Golden Gate Bridge?
Have you ever wanted to look at the tower next to the Seattle Space Needle?
Are you wondering what the tower would look like next to the Statue of Liberty?
You’re going to want to check out this calendar.
Lucky you… I’m giving both of these calendars away!
