I made a beer can chicken a couple weeks ago (a test for my episode) and paired it with a Cotes du Rhone thinking that it was going to be a surprise home run pairing. I was dreadfully wrong. The wine and bird clashed like Peter Griffin and the chicken from Family Guy.

Any Bordeaux with just about any dessert. I also had a super dry and tannic Italian red with a really spicy curry that kind of hurt my mouth.

Oh yeah…and über oaky Chardonnays with my mouth. Terrible pairing. I won’t divulge names here.
