I always knew that you were Italian! I believe Sangiovese is the most widely planted grape in Italy, but Italian wine probably wouldn’t have gained the world-wide popularity without Nebbiolo’s help.
I love to see that you’re embarking on the Italian wine trail as I believe there are more reasonably-priced, unique, and delicious wines from Italy than any other place on earth! Also, according to my dad, Italian invented wine!

As I was claiming Nebiolo, I realized that is probably Sangiovese. I could look it up, but where’s the fun in that?
